Did you know how dangerous the Ego is?! The battle from yesterday, between me and ego, is over. I've lost. I hope I will not lose the war!

I think in many ways this is a never-ending battle, at least in this world of existence. What it will be like in the worlds to come, I have no idea. But being aware of this battle is already a step somewhere. We might lose some battles, but then again, like you said, every day is a new possibility. "May each morn be better than its eve and each morrow richer than its yesterday."
So don't be saddened. You've been awakened to be aware of the battles and war!
The hardest war to win is against yourself.
